STEM Week is November 6-10, 2023, and we welcome STEM Alumni (2015-2023) in this Homecoming season. All members of the UIC Community are invited to attend STEM Week events.     Writing Identity for STEM Scholarships & Internships. This two-part workshop will help you develop your personal statement for scholarships, fellowships, research opportunities, and internship applications. Get valuable information and practice with the Offices of Undergraduate Research & External Fellowships; Diversity, Equity & Engagement; and the Writing Center. (Part 1: Nov. 7 and Part 2: Nov. 14.)     Branch Out into STEM with Technology and CS 111. P. Melissa Hernández, Associate Director and Strategy Lead, Break Through Tech Chicago at UIC (BTT) will join via Zoom to discuss opportunities in Tech for women (cis and trans) and nonbinary students. BTT’s purpose is to increase gender diversity in tech by preparing students with the undergraduate coursework and mentorship they need to compete for — and succeed in — highly compensated, highly rewarding STEM related careers.
